ORIGIN: Voor Paardeberg, Western Cape, South Africa.

HARVEST: February by hand.

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Vermentino from our vineyards SOIL TYPE Paardeberg Mountain sandstone, granite and shale.

VINIFICATION: A brief maceration of the skins for the extraction of the varietal aromas precedes the soft pressing of the grapes. Fermented in tank, during the middle of fermentation, the wine is transferred to barrel. Wine is aged on lees for a few months with weekly batonnages.
 
SERVING SUGGESTIONS Accompanies fish and shellfish dishes, exceptional with oysters.

Ideal with elaborate dishes with truffle or mushrooms. Superb paired with artichokes.
 
TASTING NOTES: The colour is straw-yellow with golden and greenish reflexes; on the nose it recalls white flowers, with light and fragrant notes of yeast and hazelnut. Flavour is silky and velvety, fresh and soft, with a remarkable structure and power.
